SCHOLARSHIPS
A pioneer initiative in the country, the Scholarship Fund has granted more than 20 thousand refundable scholarships to students with proven need of financial aid. Scholarship funding, with mandatory restitution and without interest, is made possible thanks to the cooperation of companies and individuals (students, alumni, former scholarship holders, faculty and staff).
Around 17% of undergraduate students receive scholarships of the following kinds:
1) Non-Refundable Scholarships
Scholarships for students in socio-economic need
Non-refundable scholarships (100%) are granted to students that have passed the admission exam. The scholarships shall be granted for the 08 semesters established to conclude the 240 credits that comprise the curriculum.
Candidates to those scholarships will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Duly substantiated economic-financial need;
- Performance on the admission exam.
In order to keep this scholarship mode the beneficiary must:
- Obtain a cumulative grade point average higher or equal to 7.00 (seven).
- Comply with the rules of academic conduct.
- Not interrupt their studies in the program in which they excelled during the corresponding Selection Process, except in case of: a) interruption due to exchange program promoted by program supported by FGV-EAESP lasting no longer than one academic year, and b) conscription.
- Not present any significant changes in their economic-financial situation.
Failure to meet requirements for maintaining scholarships entails their irrevocable expiration.
Scholarships for students in socio-economic need include school fees (40% of monthly fee) in case of an exchange program for one semester.
Students in the undergraduate program cannot claim merit-based or financial aid scholarships in case they return to the program through new admission exam.
2) Refundable Scholarships
To undergraduate students with proven need, FGV-EAESP grants scholarships with mandatory restitution without interest, adjusted by the IGP-M (General Market Price Index) variation, of the following kinds:
- Funding of 20 to 100% of school monthly fees, additional/pending credits and tuition for international programs at partner schools.
- School Supplies Grant (biyearly aid for purchasing books and school supplies).
- Food Grant (biyearly aid for food).
- Accommodation Grant (biyearly aid for students in greater economic need and living outside of São Paulo).
- Transportation Grant (biyearly aid for students in greater economic need and living outside of São Paulo).
Approval of a student’s application to a Refundable Scholarship, granted by FGV-EAESP’s Scholarship Fund, depends on funds available in each semester, as well as on the number of applications and percentages requested.
